It is based on the incredible life story of Victorio Belcher, an up-and-coming welter-weight boxer from Indiana who reluctantly runs drugs for the notorious Detroit Boys to make ends meet. But, soon after he gets the chance of a lifetime to fight for the championship of the world, Vic is shot by a jealous gang member - twice in the chest, once in the head - and left for dead in the streets of South Bend. After he awakens from a three-month coma, Vic, by the grace of God and the support of his ailing father by his side, begins the most inspirational comeback in sports history.
